A Lemma Worker tailors a regional bank's app to each customer, suggesting offers they qualify for, helping schedule recurring transfers, or connecting them with a banker when they need further support.

The Challenge

Most banking apps open on the same home screen for every customer, whether they logged in to move their paycheck, pay a bill, or check mortgage rates. The data that distinguishes customers already exists in account activity and app analytics, but the app never reads them. As a result, a customer researching a mortgage never gets a prompt from the app, and a relationship manager only hears about it after the customer has chosen a lender. Customer needs go unnoticed, even when the bank's own data already shows them, and the bank misses the moments it could have helped.

The Solution

The bank’s digital team builds a Lemma Worker that reads each customer’s recent account and app activity, with their consent, and classifies each moment as either routine, research, or life event. The Worker then sets up the right screen for the customer's next login.

A customer who logs in every payday sees their usual transfer first, and one who has been comparing rates sees an offer that fits. A life event, such as opening a business account, goes to a relationship manager while the decision is still open. Offers appear only after eligibility and compliance checks pass.

Capabilities

1

Reads the bank's own systems.

The bank registers core banking, the CRM, and app analytics in Lemma once each, as reusable Functions, so the Worker reads account activity where it already lives.

2

Consent and confidence comes first.

Shows the standard screen to any customer who has opted out, or whenever it isn’t confident in a classification, and keeps a record of the reasoning behind every screen.

3

Brings in a banker for life events.

Sends a new business account or a mortgage search to a relationship manager for review, and records their decision.
